I’ve been a Bomber since 2014 and it has completely changed my life in every way. I’ve been in charge of marketing our team and growing our fans over the years and I love every second of it. When I’m not skating, I’m a Director of Product Design for an online retailer, love cooking, going on adventures, and anything pop culture-related. 🧟‍♀️

I'm InToxic Kate, known around the team as Tox or Hannah, but never Kate. I've been skating derby since 2016 and have honestly loved every minute of it, but my love has grown tenfold since joining the Bombers at the start of their 2018 season. Our league is an exemplary organization, and I've grown so much from being a part of it. When I'm not skating or yelling at my referee husband for calling penalties on me (hi, Em!), you can usually find me cooking, hanging out at Green Bench, or playing with my very sweet puppy in St. Pete.

Roller derby found me in 2008 when I needed it most and I am forever grateful. When I am not playing roller derby, I am playing with my dogs, dancing, gardening, working, or working on a puzzle. I'm a retired professional dancer who now teaches theater and works as a Customer Success Manager.

Recreational sports are incredibly important! I love being competitive, making and meeting goals, and staying active. It’s a huge bonus to participate in such an overwhelmingly supportive community.

I have been involved with roller derby for 14 years! I feel fortunate to have been in several leadership positions within the league over the years, but what really keeps me going is the camaraderie, friendship, and cohesion involved in making derby happen. Win or lose, playing your game and learning and growing from the experience is amazing. Sharing that experience with not only your teammates, but also the refs, NSOs, and volunteers who each contribute in their own indispensable way is the icing on the cake. 💕

My name is EmPartial and I'm a skating referee. I like rules, blowing my whistle, candlelit dinners, and my wife (hi, Tox!) and my small dogs. I joined the Bradentucky Bombers because my wife is one, and also because it's a great team that's loaded with tremendous humans doing amazing things. You should join or volunteer with the Bradentucky Bombers too!

Jammer

My Aunt found the Bombers online while trying to help me during a rough patch after moving to Florida from Michigan. I made contact, sat in on one practice, and I fell for the sport instantly. It's been a handful of years now with plenty more to come. I love the sport and my team. Go Bombers!

Referee

I found roller derby when I first met Morgan #5, who went by Morgan Hanson at the time (2010.) We quickly fell madly in love, which in turn, pulled me into the derbyverse. I have had a blast both learning to ref and then later skating as a player, first in Richmond VA where we met, then on to Bradenton where we joined the Bombers in 2012. People call me JRK, but hey, I've been called worse!

I started playing roller derby at the age of 8. After taking a 5 year break my love for the sport has brought me back to the Bombers. Besides skating I spend most of my time in the barn with all of my animals and showing around the country.

I was introduced to [renegade] roller derby back in 2010 while waiting tables in college. After a couple seasons of playing on-and-off with the East Central Roller Derby in Anderson, IN, I came home to Florida and stopped skating. I had my Super Awesome Kid in 2017, and after a tough first year as a mom, I decided to get back into skating. I joined a rec league in Pasco County in 2019 and found my way to the Bombers in 2022 when everything started picking back up post-Covid. This league has been the perfect fit, and I'm so proud to call myself a Bomber!

Coach

Derby and the Bombers have sort of adopted me over several years. What started with spectating and supporting my wife turned into offering to help wherever I can. That turned into reffing and now coaching as my passion for the sport and enjoyment of the community has grown! Thanks for bringing me along, JC!

I first started skating with the Bombers in 2021. Since then I've worn many hats on this league, as long as there's no star on them!

II started playing derby in Gainesville and joined the Bombers when I moved to Bradenton in 2023. Since then I have enjoyed every minute with this amazing team and all of the friends and memories I’ve made! Outside of roller derby, some of my favorite things include spending time with my partner and our two cats, reading a good book, and going for long walks.

After 5 years of wanting to join derby and an unplanned emergency move to Florida due to covid, I found Bradentucky and quickly became OBSESSED! I was a serious dancer through my teen years and missed the physical challenge of ballet. When I’m not on the track, you can find me boarding an international flight or working on my graduate degree in Global Affairs.

I've been in love with skating since I laced up my first pair of skates in 2022. It took me a year of internal debate to attend a Bombers open recruit, but as soon as I saw someone jump the apex, I knew this sport was for me. I’m so excited to be a part of and learn from such an incredible league.

Hi, I’m 401Slay! I rolled into the world of roller derby in 2020 as a Firecracker, and it quickly became one of the best decisions of my life—community, camaraderie, and just the right amount of chaos. These days, I’ve taken my talents trackside as Head NSO (non-skating official) — because who wouldn’t want the honor of tracking penalties, keeping score, blowing whistles, and handling paperwork?! You’ll find me trackside, clipboard in hand, expertly pretending to be calm and professional while soaking in all the action.

Started derby in Alaska in 2015 instantly fell in love (and fell and broke my ankle) with it. Transferred to the Bombers before we moved to Florida in 2020 and although I miss my AK team ( I love you DDD!) I couldn’t have asked for a more welcoming, diverse, and inclusive group of hard hitting humans to knock me around. Love this sport and love this team!

Feral joined the Bombers in Feb, 2023 as a new recruit. After 30 years of playing ice hockey, she decided that it was time for a more serious sport! Jammers beware! Feral is a blocker on the Nuclear Bombshells and she won’t hesitate to knock you out (of bounds). Feral doubles as a veterinarian during the day but be forewarned...at night she morphs into a wild cat-human hybrid who may ask you to pet her and then immediately bite you.

Hi folks! My name is Dolly Deathstar and I like to call myself a "Bitraxual skater". I've been playing banked track roller derby for last 7 years! However, I've always wanted to play flat track so I dropped in January 2024 and I never left! During the day, I'm a Certified Veterinary Nurse at a general practice in St. Petersburg. I share my life with my partner, Darth Tal-mal, two cats, a dog and a tortoise.

I started playing derby in July of 2023 and transferred to Bradentucky in May of 2024. I love being a Bomber and learning new skills to help me slip through the pack! Off the track I'm a marine biologist and can often be found at the beach or skatepark.

I found the Bradentucky Bombers in 2022 when I decided to try out my pandemic skates...turns out contact might not be for me, but spreadsheets are! I am currently learning to be a referee and wrangling volunteers as the Head Non Skating Official for the 2024 season. I feel so lucky to have found this great community of wonderful humans. I thought I needed a new hobby but I really just joined a fun cult and made a bunch of friends.

I am a mysterious force of energy behind a pink visor and gold helmet. I am also a roller derby player. I grew up playing ice hockey, and traded my blades for quads in 2024. I play to prove love is real, because love is the most important tool we have when resisting the endless cosmic void. Not everything people say about me is true, but the important parts are.

Roller derby found me in 2018 through a series of signs from the universe. I skated in another league until 2020 and rejoined derby thanks to the Bombers in 2024. I'm so glad to have found this group of incredibly diverse and passionate people, who are always challenging each other to learn and grow. I traded in my blades for wheels. After hanging up my figure skates, I longed for a team sport again. After a chance encounter, I found myself with the Bradentucky Bombers and never looked back. When not at the rink, you can find me enjoying theatrical productions or hanging out with dogs.

I started skating with the Bomber’s Firecracker Training in 2022. I quickly fell in love with the sport and team, who have supported me on a rollercoaster journey! Off-track you can find me with the love of my life (my dog) or working at a local theatre company.

After graduating college I craved community and something new and exciting to consume me. A friend introduced me to Bradentucky, the minute I saw a scrimmage I knew I had to be a part of this. As someone with no former skating experience, I can guarantee you will grow as long as you keep trying. Cultivating connection, strength and care amongst the team is vital; it’s these values that make me so grateful for this space.

I joined the Bombers in January 2025, and my first practice was my first time ever on skates. Eventually I was asked if I wanted to learn how to jam time, and that the main requirements are to have a loud voice and bossy personality, so it was a great fit for me. I am new to Florida and glad to have found my home with the Bombers.

I joined the Bombers in 2024 with the intention of supporting the team off-track. But once I saw the action in person, I knew I wanted to skate! Outside of derby, I love music, nightlife, and all things spooky.

I started in the Jr. League back when they rocked those purple-and-lime-green jerseys. I tore it up for 5 years, disappeared for a decade, and decided it was time to lace back up and stay for good.

Off the track, I’m traveling for work or halfway around the world, trying something I shouldn't be. You’ll catch me baking, spoiling my cats, or at the Renaissance fair.

Derby left its mark on me, and now I’m leaving mine!

Howdy! As I young kid, I started skating around my grandparent's house in New Hampshire when they bought me my first pair of skates! Since then I fell back in love with skating during the pandemic and wanted to be a part of a derby team as a way for me to get out of my comfort zone and have something to look forward to beside my job as a daycare teacher to toddlers. 💫✨💫
